Future Fit Asia 2026: Bridging a Global Innovation Conference with Chinese-English AI Interpretation
Future Fit Asia 2026: Where Asia’s Innovation Ecosystem Comes Together
Future Fit Asia 2026, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, was held from May 12 to 13 at Goodwood Park Hotel in Singapore. Hosted by ID Capital, the event has evolved from Future Food Asia into a broader platform that explores innovation across interconnected fields beyond food, including health, sustainability, biotechnology, and longevity science.

The event brought together companies, research institutions, and investors from across Asia and around the world, including BGI Group, WuXi Biologics, Mengniu Dairy, Novonesis, Jiangnan University, CGIAR, FAO, Better Bite Ventures, ICOS Capital, and Alwyn Capital. With innovators, investors, corporates, and researchers joining from countries such as China, Indonesia, Japan, Australia, Kazakhstan, and India, creating a multilingual communication environment was essential for helping participants understand presentations and discussions across language barriers.
At Future Fit Asia 2026, EventCAT supported real-time understanding of Chinese presentations for English-speaking participants, helping enable smoother cross-border discussions around technology, research, and investment.
The Communication Challenge: Chinese and English at an Innovation Forum
Future Fit Asia 2026 featured a number of speakers from mainland China and the broader Chinese-speaking region, including representatives from BGI Group, Jiangnan University, WuXi Biologics, China Meat Research Center, and Terpiot Biotechnology. Their sessions covered topics such as synthetic biology, fermentation technology, alternative animal- and plant-based materials, and agricultural decarbonization.

In an environment where some speakers presented in Chinese while many audience members communicated in English, the accuracy and speed of real-time translation played a critical role in keeping participants engaged throughout each session.
EventCAT served as a multilingual communication infrastructure for the event, helping speakers and participants access the same information regardless of language. As a highly specialized conference, the sessions included technical terms and academic expressions that could be difficult to translate in real time. EventCAT helped translate these terms in context and display them smoothly as on-screen captions.
Bingyu Zhuo from ID Capital shared the following testimonial about using EventCAT at Future Fit Asia 2026:
“EventCAT helped enhance the experience for our international audience at Future Fit Asia 2026 by bridging language barriers. Its AI translation was especially useful for translating Chinese to English in real time, even for difficult technical terms, with clear captions displayed seamlessly on screen.
As the event brought together innovators, investors, corporates, and researchers from across the region, EventCAT played an important role in enabling meaningful cross-border dialogue. Highly recommended for conferences and global events seeking multilingual communication solutions.”

In an international event where Chinese and English were both used, accurate real-time translation did more than simply convert one language into another. It helped create a trusted communication environment where participants could follow ideas, insights, and discussions more clearly.
Why Translation Accuracy Matters in Global Food, Biotech, and Investment Events
At events like Future Fit Asia 2026, where food, biotechnology, sustainability, and investment intersect, speakers often use specialized terminology, institutional names, and technical concepts that go beyond everyday conversation. In this type of setting, basic real-time translation alone may not be enough to fully capture the intended meaning.

Future Fit Asia 2026 showed how AI simultaneous interpretation can serve not just as a convenience feature, but as an essential part of the operating infrastructure that enables international knowledge exchange.
EventCAT recognized speech in real time, converted it into captions, and translated complex technical terms in context. Participants were able to follow presentations through captions displayed on large screens near the stage or on their own mobile devices, allowing them to understand key messages without missing important details.
The smooth delivery of captions, displayed clearly and in sync with the flow of each presentation, also contributed to a better experience for international participants.
EventCAT: AI Interpretation Captions Built for Global Events
EventCAT has supported real-time AI interpretation and multilingual captioning at a wide range of international forums, investment conferences, and academic events, including GEEF 2026, Connect Marketplace Hong Kong 2026, and the Smart Port Challenge. Through these events, EventCAT continues to expand its role as communication infrastructure for global knowledge exchange.
